The ant can lift 50 times its own weight, can pull 30 times its own weight, and always falls over on its right side when intoxicated.

CAT FACTS (DID YOU KNOW?)

Did you know they will attack if you look in there eyes.

You can tell a cat's mood by looking into its eyes. A frightened or excited cat will have large, round pupils. An angry cat will have narrow pupils. The pupil size is related as much to the cat's emotions as to the degree of light.

Cats cannot see in complete darkness but they can navigate by sound, smell, and the sensitivity of their whiskers.

Besides smelling with their nose, cats can smell with an additional organ called the Jacobson's organ, located in the upper surface of the mouth.

When cats are asleep, they are still alert to incoming stimuli. If you poke the tail of a sleeping cat, it will respond accordingly.

Cats sleep 16 to 18 hours per day.

The Sumatran tiger has the most stripes of all the tiger subspecies, and the Siberian tiger has the fewest stripes.

Dogs need their good sense of smell and hearing because their eyesight is not as good as a human's.

A dog's sense of smell is about 1000 times better than a person's.

Dogs can see color but it is not as vivid a color scheme as we see. It is much like our vision at twilight.

A dog's heart beats between 70 and 120 times a minute, compared with a human heart which beats 70 to 80 times a minute.

Dog can hear sounds 250 yards away that most people cannot hear beyond 25 yards.

Dogs can hear sound waves that vibrate at frequencies of more than 30,000 times a second.
