Punctuation. It can make you look like an idiot, or a Grammar Nazi. No worries, as this page gives you all the info you need to brush up your punctuation skills.
.: Full stop(.)-
The most basic of all the punctuation marks. It is used to complete or stop a sentence.
.: Comma(,)-
This is used to indicate a short break in the sentence, and is used to link to another related thought, as in – Elephants, though small, are cuddly.
.: Semicolon(;)-
This is used to indicate a break which is stronger than a comma, but weaker than the full stop, as in – He was right; I lost the bet.
.: Apostrophe(‘)-
This is used in words such as you're, they're and so on. Please refer to ‘Homophones' to know more about silly grammar mistakes relating to the apostrophe.
.: Quotation marks(“)-
Used to denote something said by someone, as in – He said, “I love Star Wars!”
